　　前言：世界的虚色与微观的形而上学

　　绘画有待于重新开始，在西方绘画走向黑色与白色的单色危机之后，如何重新开始绘画的可能性？蔡小华的作品让我们看到了希望的曙光。颜色从来不是一种现存的颜料，而是生命能量与精神强度的倾吐，颜料质感的分离与不可见显现的张力，有待于艺术家每一次以新的原理生发出来。

　　蔡小华以抽象单色为基本图像，但却以黑白的形而上学意味，以老庄的“虚室生白，吉祥止止”的原理，重建了一种新的微观形而上学。唤醒中国传统的青绿、米黄以及赭色等等色感，看似单色，但色已非色，因为这是在混沌中涌现出来的“虚色”，让色感一直氤氲化生，带有浑化的色晕，暗示世界显现的端倪与征兆。微茫的力量在无休止涌现，画面上似乎有无数的暗物质在聚集，但又含蓄内敛，保持平面本身的虚薄，混芒的微颗粒在隐秘起伏中生成为迷人的“包浆色”，华美而庄严。

　　蔡小华找到了化解美国抽象表现主义在纽曼与罗斯科的悲剧崇高感，是中国传统所言的平淡之中的绚烂，这虚化的“包浆色”聚集了多重的时间性，无论是绘画制作过程反复叠加的颗粒厚度，还是内在融合了微观世界的呼吸能量，有着对单色极简主义绘画真正的突破！

　　蔡小华的作品让我们再次感受到这一片无尽的虚色即是内心世界灿烂美好的节日！

　　The Infra-Color ofa World and the microcosmic metaphysic

　　Howcould painting renew itself after the monochromatic painting inthe West? Cai Xiaohua's works shed light on this. The color has never been the extant paint, but theoutburst of the energy of life and the spiritual intensity. Every time theseparation of the texture of the color and the presentation of invisibility areto be born by the artist with his new principle.

　　CaiXiaohua's works, with abstract monochrome as basic image, rebuild a newmicrocosmic metaphysics by black and white metaphysics meanings, as well as bythe principle of at Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu. He reawakens Chinese traditionalcolor sensation such as bright red, blue green, off-white and ocher. The colorof monochrome has not been the materialized color, but the infra-color emergesfrom chaos. The rippled and dispersed sensation of color and the halo of thecolor imply the clues and signs of the presentation of the world. It seems thatthere are countless dark matters gather in the picture which depict theendless-emerging hazy power. While at the same time, the picture remainsrestrained and implicit, always keeping the surface infra-empty. These vast waving micro particlesimplicitly come into the charming "gloss color"，that is gorgeous and dignified.

　　CaiXiaohua found the way to deconstruct the sublime sense of tragedy at Newman andRothko in American abstractionism with the so-called "the brilliance inordinary" of Chinese tradition. This infra-"gloss color" gathers multipletimelines inside. No matter the repeatedly overlappedparticle thickness during painting process, or the gathering of inherentintegration and energy in micro-world, or certainly the joining of individualspirit strength are all real breakthroughs to monochrome minimalism painting!
